Stacy Koumarelas
Partner, Head of Ethics and Diversity
Stacy is known for her passionate courtroom advocacy and her client-focused approach to resolving disputes. This potent combination has led to innumerable positive outcomes for her clients. She has expertise in all areas of civil litigation — from motor vehicle accident and occupier’s liability claims to medical malpractice and long-term disability claims. Stacy is licensed and has tried cases in Ontario and Alberta.
Most recently, she served as lead counsel in KB v Guhle (2025 ABKB), a landmark medical malpractice case before the Alberta Court of King’s Bench. The ruling found that a physician’s failure to meet the standard of care directly caused catastrophic injuries to an infant patient.
Alongside her active legal practice, Stacy is the Head of Ethics and Diversity at Neinstein, focusing on compliance with the Law Society of Ontario’s Human Rights and Diversity Policy.
